Dr. Nidhi Gupta
Digital Wellness

Her journey into digital wellness began in 2014, when a series of striking personal and clinical observations led her to question the intense, almost co-dependent relationship forming between humans and smart devices. She noticed a paradox: despite being more connected than ever before, people were feeling increasingly disconnected from themselves and each other.

In 2019, Dr. Gupta founded the Phreedom Foundation (Ungrip Devices. Grip Life). With a mission to empower lives, one family and one screen at a time, her 501(c)(3) non-profit helps individuals, families, and professionals reclaim their time, attention, and purpose—not just by reducing screen time, but by reawakening joy and presence in the offline life.

Ahead of Her Time

Years before screen time became a widespread parenting challenge or cultural concern, Dr. Gupta was already sounding the alarm. Her work was often considered ahead of its time. Now, the time has finally come—and the urgency of her message is clearer than ever.

Her research has linked digital overuse to sleep disorders, anxiety, burnout, obesity, and attention fragmentation, positioning her as a trusted voice in the global conversation on technology and health. Through retreats, coaching, school partnerships, and corporate workshops, she has inspired a growing movement toward intentional living.

Calm the Noise

Her book, Calm the Noise is the natural extension of her work—a personal and scientific guide to calming the digital noise and finding your way back to what truly matters.
