Dopamine-driven apps are engineered by billion-dollar tech companies to hijack the reward centers of the adolescent brain.

Academic Performance Is in Sharp Decline

Device overuse is directly linked to fragmented attention, poor reading comprehension, and declining math scores.

The Student Mental Health Crisis Is Accelerating

Youth anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, and social isolation have surged alongside smartphone adoption.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything Your School Needs to Know

What exactly is a digital wellness program for schools?

A structured set of educational sessions — student workshops, teacher professional development, and parent education events — designed to address the impact of excessive screen use on mental health, academic performance, and social development. Led by Dr. Nidhi Gupta, every program combines neuroscience, clinical research, and real-world strategies delivered with warmth and humor that resonates with every audience.

Who is Dr. Nidhi Gupta and why is she right for our school?

Dr. Nidhi Gupta is a pediatric endocrinologist, TEDx speaker, award-winning researcher with 100+ scientific publications, and founder of the Phreedom Foundation. As a parent herself, she brings both clinical authority and personal relatability to every school she visits. Students believe her. Teachers respect her. Parents trust her.

Are the programs available in-person and virtually?

Yes. Dr. Gupta offers both in-person school visits and live, fully interactive virtual programs. Virtual programs are equally effective and ideal for schools outside of her travel range. Contact us to check availability for both formats.

What grade levels are covered?

Programs are tailored for middle school (Grades 5–8), high school (Grades 9–12), and college/university level. Each session uses age-appropriate content, language, and examples. Middle schoolers receive a completely different program than high schoolers — this is never a one-size-fits-all talk.

How long are the assemblies and teacher trainings?

Student assemblies typically run 45–60 minutes including a live Q&A (which frequently runs over because students want more). Teacher professional development is available in half-day (2 hours) or full-day formats. Parent education nights run approximately 90 minutes. All sessions include Q&A.

Is this program anti-technology?

Absolutely not. The Phreedom Foundation’s philosophy is balance, not banning — “we’re not anti-technology, we’re pro-balance.” The goal is never to eliminate technology, but to help students and adults use it as a tool rather than a trap. Students leave feeling empowered and respected, never shamed or lectured.

Does the program cover online safety and cyberbullying?

Yes. Online safety is a core component of every student workshop — cyberbullying, harmful content exposure, digital footprint management, privacy risks, and how to respond constructively when a peer is in danger online. It is addressed within the broader digital wellness framework, not as a standalone scare tactic.

How do I hire Dr. Gupta for my school?

Fill out the inquiry form on this page or visit reconnect.expert/connect. We respond within 24–48 hours to confirm availability, discuss your school’s specific needs, and provide a customized proposal with transparent pricing.

Can teachers handle digital wellness education themselves?

Teachers are already stretched thin managing device distractions. A specialized outside expert brings clinical credibility, current peer-reviewed research, and a fresh voice that students and parents respond to very differently than they do to school staff. Research consistently shows external expert speakers produce significantly higher behavioral change outcomes on sensitive topics than internal instruction alone.
