Survey Design

The survey follows the design of the PA Unplugged parent survey, drawing on professional backgrounds in education policy, research design, and survey methodology. It captures parent perspectives across multiple dimensions: screen time volume, specific concerns, school communication, and policy preferences. The survey includes both structured questions (multiple choice, rating scales) and an open-ended response field for parents to share additional concerns in their own words.

Distribution

The survey is distributed through the Phreedom Foundation's network, which shares it with parent communities across Tennessee — both families connected to the Foundation's work and parents with no prior affiliation. It is also shared in Tennessee parenting groups on social media. Distribution is designed to be as broad as organizational capacity allows, but is not systematic or randomized.

Fielding Period

The survey opened in July 2026 and remains open. Results on this dashboard update on every page load as new responses come in.
